Animal Free Research UK is the UK’s leading non-animal medical research charity. We fund and promote the development of human relevant techniques to replace the use of animals in biomedical research. Only those projects with the highest scientific calibre and the best potential for the replacement of animals are awarded funding.
Over the last 50 years, we have awarded £10M in grants to fund pioneering human relevant research, and we are currently funding 25 research projects into diseases including COVID-19, cancer, brain tumours, diabetes and dementia.
