Associate Data Migration Manager (12 month FTC)

Associate Data Migration Manager supporting AstraZeneca’s Finance Transformation programme as a member of the Data Services Team establishing a core data quality and improvement capability to support key Finance Transformation projects. Immediate scope to support the global manufacturing accounting project with the key objective to improve and standardise the end-to-end manufacturing accounting processes, delivering more granular level of details to enable better decision making for the organisation.

The role will be responsible for continuous improvements in both transactional and master data objects within SAP. This is expected to be achieved through supporting and managing the delivery of a comprehensive end to end migration process for data objects in scope for manufacturing accounting, providing operational project management to the process and migration team, working closely with IT colleagues as well as Site coordinators driving data object enhancements, standardisation, migration and cleansing in a controlled manner against an ambitious timeline.

To be successful candidates will need to have experience in SAP manufacturing data migration deliveries, data quality assurance experience, good operational project management skills, a great attention to detail, work in a highly organised & structured manner, good collaboration skills.

The role will:

  • Provide operational project management oversight by:

    • Managing and updating of project progress trackers and project plans

    • Creation and updating of all Unit Test and Development trackers

    • Coordination with Data team and Site Data Coordinators to ensure that all tasks are completed as per the agreed project plan

    • Responsible for escalation and tracking of all data related issues

    • Ensuring all defects and tests carried out in ALM are completed correctly

    • Tracking of all Technical documentation, Data Migration Requirement Specifications (DMRS), Data Field Definitions (DFD’s) and Unit Tests up versions are completed correctly and in line with project deliverables

  • Lead project related administrative activities securing a smooth migration process by:

    • Scheduling all workshops, calls and training sessions with Data team and other functions including sites/plants

    • Managing the onboarding process and leavers process

    • Tracking training requirements

    • Maintaining holiday cover, ensuring that we always have enough cover across the team to deliver the planned tasks

    • Allocation of security roles and design of all Teams Sites owned by the Data team

    • Support the development of customer tailored high-quality presentation and training materials

  • Support the Data Migration Lead in provision of accurate and timely project progress reporting by:

    • Analysis of data for reporting, ad-hoc and planned to support any profiling requests

    • Review of Reconciliation Reports, that they accurately represent the data that is extracted, transformed and loaded during a data load

    • Using MicroStrategy to deliver Data Dashboards to support Data Migration Lead

  • Support the technical enabling preparation of critical migration process elements by:

    • Set up and configuration of ALM software for Tests and Defect management

    • Managing the tracking of all SAP access requests and engaging with Data team/SSS to resolve any access issues

    • Using Winshuttle to extract data for analysis & execute selected basic data migration steps

    • Secure a robust report test data set by creating business aligned test data set

Education, Qualifications, and Experience

Essential :

  • Solid track record in delivering SAP/BI migrations

  • Extensive experience in SAP ECC and BI data flow impacting manufacturing processes, including material master data

  • Well-skilled in operational project management of large scale SAP migrations

  • Proven track record in defining data object standards, designing migration requirements and delivering robust dataloads

  • Experience in driving data cleansing, data quality, data reconciliation and progress transparency

Desirable:

  • Business or Accounting Degree

  • Broad process experience (development, management and application of)

  • Ideal candidates will have specific pharma industry experience

  • Experience in developing customer orientated high-quality presentation materials

  • Experience in developing and implementing DSP, Winshuttle and/or LSMW
