The Black Academic Futures Scholarships will offer up to 30 UK Black and Mixed-Black students full financial support to undertake graduate courses at Oxford in all academic subjects, including masters’ courses, PhD/DPhil and study at our Centres for Doctoral Training.

Full details of our available graduate courses for 2022-23 entry are available on the Oxford website.

The scholarship covers your course fees at Oxford in full and will provide you a grant for your living costs at the UK research council rate (at least £15,609 per year). Awards are made for the full duration of your fee liability for the agreed course.

Up to 30 full scholarships are available for applicants who are ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom, who are of Black, or Mixed-Black ethnicity and who hold an offer for either a taught or research postgraduate degree, starting in the 2022-23 academic year academic year. This includes all full-time and part-time DPhil and master’s courses.

How to apply

To apply for the Black Academic Futures Scholarships, all you have to do is submit your completed graduate course application to Oxford, including ethnicity information, by either the December or January deadline (whichever is relevant for your course) and you will be automatically considered.
