Functional Consultant – Group Intercompany Profit Elimination

This role sits in AstraZeneca’s Group Financial Reporting section. You will report to the GPO- Intercompany Inventory Elimination and work closely with the Group Consolidation Team. You will work in our Eastbrook House office in central Cambridge, our global headquarters, linking closely with the rest of the team virtually.

You will be the dedicated Functional Consultant for AstraZeneca’s Intercompany Profit Elimination Tool, in reporting provision for UnRealised Profit in Stock (PURP) for month end reporting to ensure accurate calculation and interface into Group Consolidation system – ERH.

As the system expert you will be accountable for business and technical analysis within the Operational and Corporate Finance domain. You will be accountable for technical deliverables and ensuring sound architectural setup of Intercompany Profit Elimination tool. As an Expert Functional Consultant, you will provide technical guidance, options assessment and advice to the Product Owner, with focus on feasibility. You will need to have technical expertise in the areas specific to Intercompany Profit Elimination. You will be accountable for technical artefacts such as systems requirements, solution design, security & privacy reviews for the calculation and automating of manual adjustments for PURP, driving ongoing improvement of the tool.

You will undertake a full review of existing activities and drive simplification and continuous improvement of the Group Intercompany Profit Elimination reporting systems, process and reports.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • SAP configuration experience preferably with SAP certification in SAP Product Costing (CO-PC-PCP, CO-PC-OBJ) and Financials (FI-GL, FI-AA, CO-CCA, PCA)

  • Experience of end-to-end market/site implementation

  • Experience in inventory valuation and profit calculation related to intercompany processes, consolidation, standard costing and transfer pricing

  • Experience on Material Ledger with Actual costing (CO-PC-ACT-ML, CO-PC-ACT-ML-AVR)

  • Demonstrated breadth of knowledge and solution delivery experience- end-to-end inventory valuation process

  • Experience in roll-out of a global template (configuration, testing, data migration, cutover, Early Life Support/Hypercare)

  • Knowledge and experience of SAP solutions

  • Knowledge of external and internal best practices relevant to the process area

  • Demonstrated ability to understand Finance Processes, including but not limited to CO-CCA, PCA, CO-PC, GL, AP, Balance Sheet, P&L

  • Strong interpersonal skills. Capable of working effectively in a large, complex cross functional teams, building relationships across different stakeholders and functional groups

  • Available to travel

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

  • Experience in a regulated environment
