Global Meetings & Events Content & Training Strategy Manager

A new and exciting Global Meetings and Events (GME) team has recently been formed within the Global Business Services (GBS) organization. This team is responsible for implementing and executing a global Strategic Meetings Management Program (SMMP) across Commercial, Enabling Units and Science Units.

As the GME Content & Training Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for organizing GME resources & content efficiently and improving information findability. You will ensure the Training strategy developed by GME meets the needs of all parties involved in the meetings process underpinned by Cvent technology. The team operates on a global level, therefore knowledge of global delivery methods, cultural learning methodology and flexibility in approach will be required.

As part of our GME Operations Team, you will have responsibility to define the content strategy for our group and develop/recommend training solutions that meet business needs improve performance of our team. This will apply to a global audience, including internal team members, external partners, and internal market stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities Include:

Content & communication

  • Create content strategy deliverables such as content inventories, content governance & classification, content workflows and content templates among many others; Prepare and facilitate content workshop when required

  • Be the GME content administrator; create and manage GME taxonomies, appropriate content classification and maintenance; be savvy about content management environment & tools (Box, SharePoint, Saba cloud, portals…)

  • Assess and develop the ongoing change management and communication plan for the GME service. Including materials for updates to processes and tools, and other communications as needed by the GME Service. Partner with key areas across the GME service to ensure there is one cohesive plan for the GME service offering

  • Cross-Collaboration with GME team members to ensure all operational SOP’s are kept current

  • All of the above should be managed with a concentration on consistency across geographical markets with an ability to accommodate regional variances when justified

Training strategy

  • Collaborate with GME project team, Ops team ad service team to review if training materials for GME Service are still up to date and relevant to meet both internal and external stakeholders needs

  • Collect feedback from training experiences to improve future training curriculum

  • Assess and develop updates to training and change management on an ongoing basis

  • Carry out training impact assessments, feedback surveys and 360 reviews of effectiveness

  • Develop and deliver new training to meet new business processes and tool changes

  • Manage the technologies and work with technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a communications or content management environment, with a strong understanding of how to devise and execute a content strategy.

  • A proven track record of training program development and management

  • Knowledge of learning and development best practices

  • Excellent verbal and written communications

  • Strong PowerPoint communications skills

  • Previous experience working across a geographically diverse team and stakeholders

Preferred

  • Pharmaceutical experience; or other highly-regulated environment

  • Experience with meeting industry technology (Cvent, StarCite), or sales automation / CRM

  • Meeting management and/or Travel industry experience
