Reporting to the Group Consolidation Manager and providing accounting support to other members of the Group Consolidation Team, you will directly impact upon the reporting of the financial results of AstraZeneca both internally and externally. You will have the opportunity to see at first hand and be closely involved in the process for announcing results, whilst providing support to the business, enabling accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the monthly internal Group P&L, balance sheet and cash reporting / commentary and the operation of related Group SOx controls, including posting Group journals

  • Support our quarterly and annual statutory reporting, including the review of the Annual Report, Interim Financial Statements and Press Releases across multiple disclosures

  • Completion of Group balance sheet reconciliations including PPE, ROUA and Provisions schedules

  • Preparation of Income Statement schedules including analysis of collaboration revenue, margins, restructuring and FX

  • Advise on queries from reporting units and provide other practical support as required by units

  • Support GFRs consolidation continual improvement process, sharing standard methodology amongst the team and the wider AZ finance community.

  • Involvement with projects affecting the Group Consolidation System and the monthly reporting process

Essential skills and experience:

  • Qualified accountant with relevant PQE (ACA, ACCA)

  • Experience of financial statement preparation and audit and reporting under IFRS

  • Experience of consolidation mechanics and systems would be an advantage

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience of working in a global organisation
