What you’ll do
The Lean and Business performance lead will define, support, and facilitate the creation of functional strategic goals, lean plans and help define focus areas for performance improvement across their area of responsibility. This will involve ongoing monitoring and measuring of critical performance metrics for your function.
The role holder will have a good breadth of Lean knowledge and practices within a functional environment that executes transactional, project and knowledge work. You will be responsible for coaching the team in applying the behaviours, systems, and tools of the (Lean) AstraZeneca Supply System. Collaborative working will be required to create annual Lean plans to deliver required uplift in Lean maturity and business value whilst ensuring alignment to global direction.
Training and supporting 1st line managers/leadership teams in using the Astra Zeneca Supply System in their area through training, on the job development and facilitating specific improvement workshops. You will support the functions to build and maintain necessary levels of Lean competence.
The role holder will also be responsible for producing and executing the communications plan for the function they support, ensuring that they work with functional leaders to create the appropriate material and utilise the proper communication channels.
You will also fulfil a functional process champion role across key Lean processes within Operations.
Essential for the role
Demonstrated significant industry related experience in Lean/Six Sigma projects and programs
Working knowledge of supply chain processes.
Requires a sound understanding of GxP, Safety, Health
Project/Portfolio management & change management
Strong communications experience
Desirable for the role
Six Sigma Black Belt training and/or certification from an accredited external Quality program
Expertise in the application of analytical problem-solving methodology
Understanding of Good Automated Manufacturing Practice, current Good Manufacturing Practice and regulations as defined by local regulatory bodies
