Are you a Manufacturing Excellence Professional looking to play an integral part in developing a “world-class” culture and strengthening the “ways of working” at a global pharmaceutical organisation?

Reporting to the Site Manufacturing Excellence Lead, the Lean Manufacturing Excellence Practitioner is an influential position which plays a major role in driving the site towards excellence. As a result we are seeking a highly experienced individual with the right blend of leadership, management, expertise and most importantly “hands-on” experience to join us on a 12-month secondment / fixed term contract.
We are looking for an inspiring and an engaging lean professional to join us, supporting the organisation in an exciting and challenging opportunity through significant cultural and performance change.
You will be an energised coach and role model for the organisation through motivating, developing and empowering our people to build an environment based on trust.
You will role model best practice sharing and adoption across the enterprise, and develop others in lean leadership, the ability to standardise/simplify, create and follow standards with rigour whilst being creative and innovative.
You will build strong relationships with partners, actively contributing to global initiatives and support the drive to deliver performance:
To embed a culture of manufacturing excellence through the adoption of the AstraZeneca Supply System (AZSS)
To embed manufacturing excellence standard practices into “ways of working”
Be instrumental in improving the Manufacturing Excellence capabilities of the Process Execution Team (PET) leadership team and the broader PET members
To align and prioritise activities to support execution/achievement of the PET strategy and scorecard ensuring consistency and alignment to the site and global manufacturing excellence plans
Significant experience in either a manufacturing or supply chain environment leading and managing continuous improvement (lean, six sigma, TQM)
Experience of business process ownership of key business processes and/or working within an organisation with a well-established business process methodology
Experience of managing teams within a manufacturing or supply chain environment
Degree in a scientific, technical or business field (equivalent experience will be considered)
Recognised qualification in a continuous improvement field (six sigma, lean, TPM)
Ability to coach, teach, facilitate and role model “ways of working” whilst also being prepared to “do”
Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to modify your approach to get the best from others
A great team-player, willing to both work hard to achieve success, and hold an equal stake when things are tough.
Ability to influence peers and leadership teams through challenging the status-quo in a constructive and scientific manner
