The role

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a challenging and varied role within our team. Your focus will be on providing high quality professional administration support to Global Pricing Head, Global Pricing Directors and Payer Engagement Head.

As the successful role holder, you will be an individual with high standards, enthusiasm, and a passion for learning, together with excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to act independently.

Attention to detail and a having a high level of great organisational skills will be the key to success with this role as the successful role holder will be required to action on pricing specific tasks such as routine monthly pricing reports.

This role will include diary management, coordinating internal and external meetings, processing expenses, arranging virtual meetings, global conference calls/videoconferences, managing complex travel including visa arrangements, as well as organising and preparing material for key meetings and communications.

The diary arrangements will require you to have strong influencing skills with the ability to engage relevant people in developing solutions; your patience and flexibility will be advantageous in securing this challenging but interesting role. Often working independently, you must be able to respond to changes in customer and stakeholder demands with the flexibility to adapt to changing situations.

Activities include

  • Proactive diary management

  • Extensive and proactive planning of travel arrangements, including flights, accommodation, airport transportation, car bookings, trains etc. (preparing travel packs / itineraries)

  • Internal/external meeting arrangements and support

  • Supports preparation of presentation materials for department head, and prepares agendas and minutes

  • Manages departmental budget and Purchase Orders

  • Facilitates contracting: Statement of Work, purchase order creation, invoice resolution and other financial administration

  • On boards new starters (ordering IT equipment, setting up key meetings, assigning a buddy etc)

  • Works collaboratively with GMAP and OMAP admin team to support function, and provides specialist project based administrative support when required

  • Maintain online filing systems and GPI Sharepoint site

  • Facilitates and organises pricing certificate process with markets and across pricing team

  • Maintain databases and distribution lists

  • Manages routine monthly pricing reports for department

Essential skills

  • Prior PA Experience with energy and passion for the role

  • Excellent communication skills and organisation skills

  • Attention to detail, working to consistently deliver to a high standard

  • Good business awareness with sensitivity to highly confidential information

  • Track record of handling and resolving challenges quickly and efficiently

  • Experience of a variety of software/systems, including online meeting systems

  • Ability to think beyond boundaries of own job, challenges status quo and seeks opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Excellent team working, networking and influencing skills and ability to engage relevant AstraZeneca staff and leaders in developing solution.
