Sourcing and Supply within UK Operations manages the material flow through the factory, enabling our packaging and processing areas to produce stock for customer orders. Post manufacture, the department also manages all product storage and shipment to over 100 countries globally.

A dynamic environment with complex, technical projects. Here we are constantly striving for better. It’s why we keep pushing the boundaries of product process management through careful monitoring of risks and decision-making.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Management Lead to join our Site Supply Chain Leadership Team and play a key role in managing transformation and change projects.

What you’ll do:

Lead and coach a team of project managers that deliver the Site Project Portfolio. This is a set of projects and / or programmes aligned to AstraZeneca’s strategic initiatives and site priorities, that deliver effective solutions meeting approved customer and business needs.

Be accountable for ensuring the delivery of the site project portfolio to approved budget and scheduled commitments whilst meeting our required high quality and compliance standards.

Focus areas of the role include local and global partner management, risk management and delivery of business benefit.

Follow established project management standards and lead / contribute to continued development of the project / programme management capability.

Skills & Experience:

  • Master’s Degree within Supply Chain Operations (or equivalent)

  • Demonstrable extensive knowledge and practical experience of project definition and execution using popular project management methodologies such as PMI/PMP or Prince2.

  • Solid understanding and relevant experience using change management techniques and frameworks.

  • Senior leadership experience, demonstrating an adaptable and coaching leadership approach

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to positively influence team members

  • Ability to interact with Senior Leaders in a collaborative, clear and concise manner.

  • Engage and influence decisions at a senior level
