Working with in vivo pharmacologists across the oncology portfolio, you’ll apply your scientific and technical expertise to a number of project teams delivering efficacy and pharmacodynamic studies to aid drug discovery and development. A special focus will be on using genetically engineered mouse models (GEMMs) to address key scientific questions. As well as designing, planning and conducting in vivo studies, you’ll be responsible for analysing and communicating complex scientific data. Being able to prioritise your own workload whilst demonstrating excellent team-working skills will be key to this role. You’ll also have the opportunity to work collaboratively within cross-functional, multidisciplinary project teams. This role includes working approximately 1:5 weekends to include 4 hours Saturday and 4 hours Sunday; in return you will receive time off during the week and a shift allowance.

Essential for the role
First degree or equivalent experience in a relevant area of cancer biology
High ethical standards and a keen eye for animal welfare
Ability to critically analyse and communicate in vivo scientific data
Ability to prioritise own workload and to work as part of a tea
Ability to collaborate with colleagues in a multidisciplinary setting.
