Our pioneering approach is identifying and treating patients earlier, focusing on early stage cancer trials and listening and evolving based on their needs. What you’ll do
Working in this laboratory-based position within the Oncology Research group you will independently utilize solid tumor PDX models to develop, design, conduct and analyze in vivo and ex vivo drug discovery research experiments. You will be responsible for communicating the results to team members and leadership groups. You will also review emerging literature and internal data to identify and credential new targets and contribute to target validation activities.
Serve as the ‘In Vivo Lead’ for high-profile clinical assets whereby you will have the opportunity to work with late-stage development colleagues, influence clinical development and identify new opportunities (e.g. indication expansion, combinations).
As a highly organized, self-motivated individual with a strong laboratory science background you will stay up to date with relevant technical and intellectual scientific expertise in antibody therapeutics, cancer biology & tumor immunology and have a genuine passion for this field of research.
Essential for the role
Master’s degree with a focus on cancer biology, pharmacology and/or immunology
A strong foundation in antibody therapeutics (preferably antibody-drug conjugates) and in-depth expertise in techniques for assessing their pharmacodynamic properties in in vivo systems
Extensive experience working with solid tumor PDX models and performing n=1 study designs ((syngeneic murine tumor models a plus)
Molecular biology and biochemistry skills (e.g. qPCR, western blotting, ELISA)
Genetic modification of cell lines and/or primary cells (e.g. shRNA, CRISPR)
Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and collaboration skills together with evidence of having used these to support problem solving and delivery in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Desirable for the role
PhD with cancer biology, pharmacology, immunology or immuno-oncology focus is preferred
Lead in vivo efforts for multiple drug discovery programs (preference for antibody, ADC and IO)
A foundation in immunology / immuno-oncology, and expertise in techniques for the analysis of immune function and phenotype
