What you’ll do

Part of the Translation Medicine group, this Full Stack Software Engineer will be a senior contributor to the team making software systems operating in digital pathology and computational image domain. The right candidate will help crafting the future of our web-based products for users around the world. This is a hands-on role to design, build and launch software products for users. The successful candidate will join team of professionals to ensure our products meet and exceed business expectations. The right candidate will have experience in software design and architecture and would be able to bring functionalities from an idea to a successfully deployed system reachable by users.

  • Lead React Web application development by way of contribution and documentation

  • Collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams, including Product, QA, Science and Business units

  • Craft and build digital experiences across consumer health and SaMD applications

  • Ensure timely delivery of products and features with a high degree of quality

  • Writing high quality, effective tests to prevent bugs and grow test coverage, to improve stability and increase team velocity

Essential for the role

  • Significant software engineering background and capabilities with a strong knowledge of modern software engineering patterns and architectures

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with React

  • 5+ years of JavaScript experience (TypeScript preferred)

  • Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.

Desirable for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Information Science, or equivalent degree is preferred but not required. We will hire self-taught engineers, designers and leaders without a formal education given you have evidence of rich history of software engineering and/or product delivery.

  • Experience with orchestration tools and virtualized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience with databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL).

  • Experience in Python.

  • Experience with cloud service backends (AWS).

  • Regulatory knowledge, i.e GxP and SaMD is a merit.

  • Working in an agile project team using SCRUM or a similar framework.

  • Experience in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
