ABOUT THE ROLE?
AstraZeneca IT is currently running a major transformation programme which consists of several workstreams working together to deliver IT- wide changes to our Operating Model, Organisation, Capabilities and ways of working, to underpin our IT2025 Strategy.
This is a 2-year programme that started in early 2021 and is currently moving from its planning to execution stage with an objective to deliver significant business benefits and an operating model that will continue to evolve to deliver business value.
We are seeking an IT transformation specialist with demonstrable experience in optimising offshore captive IT centres as they transition focus to value creation outcomes. Our Enterprise Capabilities and Solutions (ECS) Function is a newly formed team, designed to be a key Centre for Enablement for Enterprise Platforms, Testing, Software Engineering, Hyper Automation, AR/VR and Application Maintenance. This role will need to embed the new operating model and ways of working, optimise our shared offshore capability, incorporate agile ways of working to deliver our Enterprise Platforms, and identify the next stage of capability development such as value-based outcomes rather than service management.
You will need to have had experience in leading and transforming key components of the ECS function through automation, process simplification and agile ways of working. The role will work closely with ECS’ key the stakeholder groups such as Business Technology Groups and Enterprise Technology Services to drive necessary changes in ways of working on both sides. You will work closely with the technical and operational leadership teams to ensure successful delivery of the shared capabilities. You must have experience of working within a global organisation to design and deliver the right “shared Service” operating model and organisational design as part of the wider IT function, bringing with them and sharing best practise. This role needs to ensure that the right culture and processes are embedded to drive continuous improvement.
