This is a superb opportunity for someone with supply chain expertise, in particular with a Logistics background. This person should also have excellent analysis skills and have the ability to understand business requirements and effectively build, change or influence technical teams to craft solutions. They will be a key member of the Supply Chain Analytics group at AstraZeneca.
The Value Chain Analyst is part of the Global Supply Chain organisation. We are responsible for helping the organisation make data decisions to drive our supply chain strategy. To do this, we need to ensure our Supply Chain has access to the right data to be able to analyse and make the right decisions to improve company performance. This includes major issue management, identifying major supply chain design opportunities, accommodating major changes in supply capability and being the local link in the organisation.
What you’ll do:
Help to cultivate FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) data sources working closely with the Analytics Team and IT Teams. You will study data quality and be a key owner of Data Assets (or Product) on the Analytics Team for the Supply Chain. You will work with other members of the analytics team and our business partners to deliver world class analysis and decision support to our partners. You will help to develop awareness and capability of our data assets as we look enhance our digital portfolio driving greater efficiency supporting the balance between Customer Service to our Patients and lower costs.
Analyse supply chain performance, partner with internal team members (examples: Logistics, analytics, finance and IT) and drive opportunities for improvement. Understand and support Supply Chain Processes, improve performance evaluation through the use of data and help transform the business by insights through detailed analysis. Some key areas of focus will be to highlight demand support, evaluate changes in supply plan, creation of opportunities to improve the delivery function including cost and lead-time reduction, and supporting initiatives to implement process and design changes. You will support global supply chain processes including but not limited to the transportation and delivery function, yearly/quarterly processes (like business plan, RBU, etc.) with the information to make insightful decisions.
You will play an important role in shaping the future of analytics in the supply chain organisation, including the creation of a reporting and analytics competence and roadmap to grow sustainable reporting and analytics practices, determining the pipeline of operational reports and analysis cases which includes valuating new solution and approaches.
In this role, you are encouraged to become a generalist in supply chain; with good knowledge of different aspects of the field, ability to dive-deep in a certain area to meet the needs of the project, analyse data and develop recommendations, and coordinate and project manage activities as required for the success of the different initiatives.
You will engage with key partners in operations and IT to advance the quality of analysis and BI capabilities. You will develop improvement plans, prioritize them, and help getting them implemented by working with other members in the team, end users and IT team.
Collaborate with LEAN experts within and outside the group to standardise and streamline ways of working, and improve LEAN culture in the group.
You will get opportunity to work on multiple projects to implement new solutions or changes to existing BI solutions originating from changes in processes and technology, or as part of continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to participate in many of the strategic initiatives like Enterprise Demand Excellence, Supply Chain Digitalization, inventory program, and OTIF.
Essential Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
Demonstrable ability to work in a supply chain/analytics role
Large Volume such as Consumer Product, Automotive, Life Science
Vertical and analytic centric with a world class supply chain experience
Strong analytical capabilities and advanced Excel skills
Experience with BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI)
Ability to connect data to business decisions
Good understanding of supply chain and Logistics Concepts
Ability to effectively present complex information to senior leaders
Experience with using reports in different BI platforms
Effective data visualisation capabilities
Ability to handle ambiguity and change effectively
Ability to lead and handle projects
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of existing BI landscape in AstraZeneca Operations
Understanding of SAP- APO and SAP-ECC/S4 preferred
